Building trust into analytics metrics

Trust grows when the product makes collection, coverage, and uncertainty easy to see.

A browser and database connected by a bridge with a clear measurement path

The short version

People trust a metric when they can answer three questions: where did it come from, what does it include, and what should I do with it?

That means the interface should expose the collection method, reporting window, timezone, and meaningful exclusions. Privacy is part of this explanation because the limits of collection shape the result.

The product becomes easier to use when those details are not hidden in documentation. Trust is an interaction pattern, not a marketing badge.
